Austin Abrams takes on the role of Jay Gardiner, a young diver grappling with the loss of his father, portrayed by Josh Brolin. In an effort to find closure, Jay ventures to California’s Central Coast to dive in search of his father’s remains. However, his journey spirals into a nightmare when he is unexpectedly swallowed by a giant sperm whale, leaving him with only about an hour of oxygen and no apparent escape route. Relying on his instincts and the teachings of his late father, Jay embarks on a desperate quest for survival.
