Exhibitors at LEAP and DeepFest demonstrated innovations ranging from humanoid robots and AI-powered prosthetics to advanced computing systems designed for substantial AI workloads. These displays underscored a strong push towards utilizing AI to solve real-world challenges.
Supermicro highlighted its cutting-edge computing infrastructure aimed at supporting organizations in their AI expansion efforts. Mohammad Zahri, Supermicro’s Regional Director, emphasized the company’s goal to deliver computing environments capable of managing increasingly complex AI demands, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation agenda. Meanwhile, robotics took a significant spotlight with Unitree demonstrating intelligent robotics and AGIBOT showcasing humanoid systems that integrate perception, decision-making, and physical actions. Abel Deng, AGIBOT’s President for the Middle East and Asia-Pacific region, described this as a pivotal advancement in human-technology interaction, transitioning AI from digital interfaces into physical realms.
PSYONIC presented its Bionic Hand, a prosthetic device designed to respond to user movements by incorporating sensor and movement data. This technology exemplifies the potential of AI and robotics to assist individuals in performing physical tasks, enhancing human-machine interaction. In another significant development, Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation was spotlighted with Tawakkalna, the digital government platform supported by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), achieving its 2026 integration goal. The platform now connects over 36 million users to more than 1,700 government services and processes over 85 million transactions daily.
The recent integration saw 62 government entities adding 926 services to Tawakkalna, broadening the range of public services accessible to citizens, residents, and visitors through a unified interface. Annabelle Mander, Executive Vice President at Tahaluf, noted that the event highlights a shift from merely discussing AI’s possibilities to showcasing deployed technologies in sectors like healthcare, robotics, space, and digital infrastructure. The discussions and demonstrations at LEAP 2026 highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to leveraging emerging technologies to bolster domestic capabilities, foster innovation, and create economic opportunities.
